Matthew W. Gilbert Middle School in Jacksonville, Fla., is becoming the third school in Duval County to join a community school partnership that allows the school to collaborate with organizations to address issues such as food insecurity, poverty and access to health care. The initiative, supported by an $80,000 grant, involves a 25-year commitment from partners including the University of North Florida, AGAPE Family Health and Florida State College at Jacksonville.
