Hunger and food insecurity affect millions of New Yorkers every day. In fact, more than 4.6 million NYC residents—56% of the population—live in or near poverty, and 1.2 million people in our city are currently struggling with hunger. A coalition of leading hunger and food insecurity organizations is hosting a candidate forum to hear directly from the individuals running for NYC Mayor this year on this topic.
